On the Mornington Peninsula, between the ocean and the bay, Alba takes root in a vibrant landscape, delivered in 2022—a place where water connects the depth of the earth to the breath of the wind.
Drawn from 550 meters below the surface, naturally warm and mineral-rich, the water flows through the 32 pools and fountains before returning to the aquifer. Nothing is static; everything is a cycle. Even the rain is collected, integrated, and honored.

Nature has the rare ability to inspire both calm and energy.
It is this very tension that we sought to capture in Alba’s cascade.
In “The Rapids”, the water is powerful yet soothing, loud yet meditative. It turns white as it meets the stone; sound emerges from friction; movement reveals the material. Understanding these phenomena—speed, turbulence, emulsion—allowed us to transform a physical reality into a sensory experience.

Our intervention focused on designing this cascade: observing life, analyzing its invisible logic, and then embedding this understanding into a precise hydraulic language. A dialogue between technical rigor and poetic intuition.
