The fluidity of the water evokes a weaving motion, achieved through the ingenious arrangement of 190 parabolic jets. The lines intersect and intertwine, forming smooth, flowing curves, like fabric unfurling. This aquatic interplay pays homage to the spinning mills and to the era when Reims was the capital of wool production.
The concept is further enhanced by the construction of a colorful ceramic tapestry, which will serve as the basin’s base. This artistic choice creates a visual and symbolic link between the water, the city’s industrial history, and its contemporary cultural identity.
