The Croisette in Cannes is much more than a seaside promenade: it is a mythical place, synonymous with cinema, glamour, and creativity. It embodies a powerful imaginary, where art, light, and the Mediterranean blend to create a unique atmosphere. With the new landscape design implemented by Atelier Castro, the Croisette now fits into the grand landscape, dressing itself in a palette of red that echoes the intensity of the hues of the Estérel Massif. At the heart of this project, water becomes a central element, a guiding thread that weaves together the different sequences of the promenade.

Present in multiple forms, it activates the space, brings freshness and intensity, and restores a theatrical dimension to the Croisette. The water features, designed by JML, allow for sensory and psychological engagement of the public, through a superposition of ephemeral moments. Like the 7th art, water has this unique ability to distort images of reality to stimulate the imagination. The fountain becomes a machine for creating the imaginary, a trigger for participation.
