The 14-meter elevation of the park is a true boon for a fountain designer. At the top, the water gently begins its flow along a false flat, then accelerates midway before rushing down the slope at full speed. As it rubs against the scalloped slates, the water turns white, its emulsified surface catching the light, before disappearing beneath the pink granite and being pumped back up toward Strasbourg Street.
